SPITFIRE FLIGHTS

LEE-ON-SOLENT AIRPORT in Hampshire is Boultbee Flight Academy's primary training airfield but due its location right next to the Solent and the Isle of Wight it gives the best available sightseeing flights of all of the locations. This is the only airfield from which you can get to fly along the white cliffs in a 20 minute flight.

Royal Naval Air Station Lee-on-Solent (HMS Daedalus) was one of the primary shore airfields of the Fleet Air Arm. First established as a seaplane base in 1917 during the First World War, it later became the main training establishment and administrative centre of the Fleet Air Arm. Spitfires were based here in the run up to D-Day.

DATES:   02 APR 2019 - 29 NOV 2019

AS SEEN ON JAMES MARTIN'S GREAT BRITISH ADVENTURE.

GOODWOOD AERODROME in West Sussex is Boultbee Flight Academy's Headquarters and as a result this location offers the greatest number of experiences and the greatest frequency of those experiences, normally running from the beginning of April until the end of November.

Formerly RAF Westhampnett, and the airfield from which Douglas Bader flew his last operational mission before capture, this aerodrome is ideally situated only 2 minutes flight time from the English Channel, and is very close to the white cliffs of the Needles. With a grass runway to boot there is no better place from which to enjoy your flight.

WILL BE RETURNING IN 2020 !

EXETER AIRPORT is one of the locations that BFA visit occasionally throughout the season, normally for a period of two weeks at a time. As these visits have limited spaces they tend to get booked up pretty quickly so it's worth booking early to avoid disappointment.

In World War II RAF Exeter was an important RAF Fighter Command airfield. During the Battle of Britain and throughout the war Spitfires and Hurricanes were based there primarily with Polish squadrons.

CUMBERNAULD AIRPORT is one of the locations that BFA visit once per season normally for a period of two weeks at a time. As these visits have limited spaces they tend to get booked up pretty quickly so it's worth booking early to avoid disappointment.

Situated between Edinburgh and Glasgow Cumbernauld is the ideal location for the Academy's first foray into Scotland. Serving both major cities it remains outside of any restrictive airspace and gives access to the breath-taking backdrop of the Highlands over which you'll be able to fly.
