JEZ ATTRIDGE

Jez Attridge learnt to fly at Goodwood airfield when he was 16, through an RAF scholarship. Since then he as flown over 4000 hours on military fast jets. He also spent 3 years with the United States Marine Corps at Miramar airfield, San Diego, instructing on the F-18 Hornet and was qualified to fly from the U.S Navy’s Nuclear aircraft carriers.

 

Jez was awarded an OBE for commanding 11(Fighter) Squadron during the 2011 Libya Campaign, which marked the first operational deployment for a Eurofighter Typhoon squadron.   He commanded RAF Coningsby, a Eurofighter base, from 2014-16, during which time he also displayed the Hurricane and Spitfire as part of the world-famous Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. 

 

Jez remains on active duty in the Royal Air Force.  He is married to Kiran, an RAF doctor, and has 2 young children who are spare-time vortexes.  He has completed an iron-man triathlon slowly and plays the didgeridoo badly.
